Play Out! – Explorative workshops in and around Villa Eläintarha

Join our artists-in-residence for two workshops where they invite you to explore the surroundings of Villa Eläintarha in playful and explorative ways!

Time: Saturday 12 March, 15:00-16:30
Venue: Villa Eläintarha, Eläintarhantie 14

The workshops will be held in English and are aimed for kids and youth. We can take max 10 participants for each session.

** Please sign up latest on Friday 11 March! After this you can also get in touch via email on Saturday 12 March to see if there is still room in the workshops. Emails: contact.fullvoids@gmail.com (Full Voids workshop) and adri@theforest.earth (Tree-Me Scanning workshop) **

Full Voids: An explorative activity aimed to re-discover our everyday space as a rich and diverse ecosystem, focusing on the role and potential of visual storytelling for kids. Guided by a role-play card game, we will go on a walk in the surroundings of Villa Eläintarha, trying to challenge how we are used to looking at things. The workshop will end with a moment of playful reflection. Age group: 6-10 years old. Workshop hosts: Martina Eddone & Margherita Via. If you have any questions, please send an email to contact.fullvoids (at) gmail.com.

Tree-Me Scanning: In this workshop we invite you to reflect on your own relations with trees, to get to know the trees around the villa, and to make a 3d portrait of you and a tree using 3d scanning. In this workshop participants of all ages are welcome, with a special invitation to youth aged 13-19. Bring your smartphone with a camera or a camera. Workshop hosts: T.S Anna & Adri Schokker. If you have any questions, please send an email to adri (at) theforest.earth.

For both workshops:
– Please put on warm and comfortable clothes, bring inside socks or shoes, a bottle of water (and if you want your snow sledding!).
– Please let us know if your child has any allergy or other particular needs.
