About Open Calls

The residents to HIAP Suomenlinna and HIAP Cable Factory are selected primarily via open calls which are arranged in collaboration with numerous programme partners (see full list). Most of the open calls have a geographic and/or thematic focus.

The open calls are announced on HIAP social media channels and in HIAP email newsletter (subscription link can be found from the bottom of HIAP website front page).

Please note we do not accept unsolicited residency proposals. If there are no current Open Calls live on this webpage we are not currently accepting proposals. Thematic Open Calls are announced throughout the year, and General Open Calls for residencies are announced between May – June annually.
