Tatiana Kudriavtseva has a degree in art history by the Saint-Petersburg University of the Humanities and Social Sciences. From 2005 to 2014 she worked in Design Gallery / Bulthaup Center St. Petersburg, where she organized exhibitions of internationally renowned designers and up and coming creatives. As an independent curator, she has worked with your Russian product designers in design weeks in Milan (IZBA Project, 2014) and Stockholm (2015-2016). Tatiana has also curated exhibitions on product design: PREDMET (Moscow, 2014) and Materialization (Vladivostok, 2017). Currently, she is studying Design Cultures at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, focusing her research on the questions of identity in design.
My ongoing research focuses on the interactions of local identity and global culture in modern and contemporary design. During my HIAP residency, I want to develop and explore this topic by establishing connections with the creative scene of Finland. —Tatiana
