Seihee Shon

Seihee Shon is an independent curator, art writer, and museum educator working in London and Seoul. She studied History of Art at University of York, UK and Art Museum and Gallery Education at Newcastle University, UK. She has interests in art, technology, digital culture and interactivity between artworks, viewers and the space. Her recent curatorial and research practices explore mystery, uncertainty, fantasy, illusion and reality. She is also interested in cultural pluralism. In 2007–2008, she was an editor of Eyeball, a bilingual online magazine dedicated to media art, and her writing has been featured in various art and culture magazines.


During her residency at HIAP, Seihee Shon will aim to build contacts with Finnish art professionals to develop collaborative art project between Korea and Finland. She will also use this opportunity to explore Finnish media art.
