Pil Joo Jung

Pil Joo Jung is a curator and art critic based in Seoul, South Korea. She has a PhD from the Seoul National University with a major in sociology of art. She is currently the secretary of the Artists’ Counselling Center for Artists, run by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. She also organizes the Curator Salon, a platform for artists and curators. Her recent interests include artists welfare, digitization of cultural contents, artists’ hidden work and artists’ identity. As a sociologist of art, she is involved in promoting artists’ welfare and artists’ rights in the contemporary art market.
