Their work was awarded at the Spring Exhibtion at Kunsthall Charlottenborg in 2023.
Two years ago, we encountered several tons of bent marble plates discarded from the Finlandia Hall’s facade—the very reason for its ongoing renovations. During our residency, we will develop an installation and film exploring the site’s in-between state through critical reflections on heritage. The work draws from the building’s sonic landscape, the legacy of Kaija Saariaho, urban exploration, and scripted dialogues. We will collaborate with musicians, artist/composer Alexander Iezzi, and researcher/curator Hampus Bergander to consider what is preserved, what is excised, and how cultural narratives are maintained.
