FRAUD

FRAUD (Audrey Samson & Francisco Gallardo) is a métis duo of media and spatial practitioners that develop forms of critical art-led inquiry into the multiple scales of power and governance that flow through physical and cultural spaces. They focus on exploring modes of slow violence and necropolitics embedded in, for instance, the entanglement between archiving practices and technical objects, erasure as a disruptive technology, or the thinning effects of extraterritorial forms like Special Economic Zones. Currently residents at the Somerset House Studios in London, their work has been exhibited in such venues as: the Rotterdam Architecture Biennale (NL), Kunsthal Århus (Denmark), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (DE), CentroCentro (SP), Bâtiment d’Art Contemporain (CH), Tabakalera Bilbao (Basque Country), Medialab Prado (SP), Maison d’Art Actuel des Chartreux (BE), Connecting Spaces (Hong Kong), Arts Catalyst (UK).

FRAUD’s residency at HIAP is organised in the context of HIAP design residency programme 2017 in partnership with the British Council, Helsinki Design Week, and the Aalto University.
