Elina Suoyrjö

I’m an independent curator and researcher based in London. My curatorial practice evolves around working collaboratively and site-specifically with artists. I’ve realised exhibitions, events and projects in Helsinki, Stockholm, Paris and London. At the moment, I am working on a PhD research at Middlesex University in London. The research is on feminist curatorial strategies, with focus on working with affect and emotion, and creating emancipatory energies.

During my stay at HIAP, I’m curating a group exhibition Good Vibrations at SIC, with contributions from Julie Béna, Happy Magic Society, Beatrice Lozza, Shana Moulton, mirko nikolić and Nastja Säde Rönkkö. I’m also looking into the vibrations of Helsinki in general. – Elina Suoyrjö
