Elias Ericson is a Swedish comic artist/illustrator. His work centers queerness, intense emotional bonds and the human messiness of it all.

His graphic novel Diana & Charlie will be published in Finnish by Zum Teufel in autumn 2026.

Elias has studied at The comic art school in Malmö, Picture books and Graphic story telling at HDK School of Design and Crafts, Digital comics at Malmö University and Creative writing at Luleå University of Technology.

He’s done work for Gothenburg Museum of Arts, Gothenburg’s Museum of World Culture, and The Swedish Federation for LGBTQI Rights, to name a few.

For my stay at the residency, I plan to work on the script, rough sketches and comic pages of my current graphic novel in progress, an introspective romance about transmasculine love and intimacy. I will delve deep into the plot and themes to explore how I can finally tie the loose ends together. A combination of traditional and digital writing, sketching and drawing will be used.
