This residency would allow me the time and focus to write and continue research for three curatorial projects I am developing. These three proposals include an exhibition exploring materiality and the body, a project centered around sound art, and finally a proposal examining movement, gendered and black and brown bodies, power structures, and silenced histories. This residency would also allow me the opportunity to reconnect with artists in Helsinki and use the space and context of the HIAP residency to explore possibilities of collaboration.
