Arash Moori

Arash Moori (b.1977, Birmingham, England) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Madrid whose work with electricity, electromagnetic interference, light and sound dates back to the early 2000s. ‘Heterodyne’, his debut solo album, was released in 2015 on the US-based Type Recordings label.

‘Parasitic Noise’ aims to further investigate the induction of crosstalk and interference between audio visual systems as well as develop conceptual and technological approaches through which to expand the use of electricity in live performances. The term, parasitic noise, refers to undesired oscillations and feedback which occur in electronic equipment.

Parallel to his individual work he collaborates with Spanish artist Esther Mañas exploring acoustic, spatial and symbolic characteristics of proposed sites and environments.
