Amy Ball works with sound, sculpture, performance and video, as well as short stories, texts and drawing. She is currently based out of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Her work has been exhibited and performed at the ASSEMBLE at Haus am Lutzöwplatz, Berlin, Kunstverein Göttingen; KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; The Banff Center, Canada; and the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam, among others.
Working performatively, in writing and in video, I will be devoting my time at HIAP to elaborate my current research around ideas of gendered codings of space and architecture, with the goal to develop a new performance and video installation incorporating architectural histories and site specificity within the city of Helsinki. —Amy
