Open Call: 4th Ural Industrial Biennial of Contemporary Art / Ekaterinburg

Research trip for Finland-based curators and contemporary art professionals to 4th Ural Industrial Biennial, 12.9. – 15.9.2017

HIAP’s Connecting Points Programme organises an excursion for curators and art professionals based in Finland to visit the Biennial’s professional preview days 12.-13.9. and the opening on 14.9.

The main project of the Biennial is curated by João Ribas with a theme ”New Literacy” using guiding metaphors as ‘Image as witness / Capitalism choreographies / Persistent word’ and involving in total 60 artists or artist groups. Info of the biennial can be found on the website: http://uralbiennale.ru/en

Connecting Points is a Finnish-Russian exchange programme at HIAP (Helsinki International Artist Programme) that has as one of it aims to develop and strengthen the collegial and curatorial activity in Finland and in Russia. Connecting Points Programme will cover the flights (Helsinki-Ekaterinburg-Helsinki), accommodation 12.-15.9. as well as visa costs.

NOTE: In order to participate make sure that you have a valid passport (6 months valid after the trip), up-to-date photographs for the visa and a valid travel insurance.
