HIAP launches Japan & Korea Programme

HIAP is happy to announce the new Japan & Korea programme, which will focus on exchange between Finland, Japan and Korea in the context of contemporary art. The programme is realised in collaboration with AV-arkki – the Distribution Centre for Finnish Media Art and supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The residency exchanges are realised in collaboration with the Finnish Cultural Foundation.

The open calls for Finnish artists to take part in SeMA NANJI and Tokyo Wonder Site residency programmes are open now, the deadline is 16 September 2016. The open calls for Korean and Japanese artists for residencies at HIAP will come out later this year.

In context of this programme, AV-arkki’s programme coordinator Tytti Rantanen visited Korea to attend the Seoul International New Media Festival (NeMaf) in August 2016 (see article in Korea Times).
