HIAP Talks: Khaled Ramadan and Maria Lind

Khaled Ramadan is the founder of the Chamber of Public Secrets (CPS), the collective which curates projects and cultural programmes for institutions like Manifesta 8 (European Biennial for Contemporary Art, Spain 2010). Ramadan will be giving the HIAP Talk this Thursday together with Maria Lind, who will be joining the Talk via videophone from Stockholm, with her thoughts on Biennial business, Residency Routine and Other Contemporary Concerns.

CPS’s past activities, aside from curating Manifesta 8, have included projects at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, the Guangzhou Triennial, the Guangdong Museum of Modern Art, China, UCCA Beijing, the Danish Film Institute and at Nikolaj, Copenhagen. In 2009, Al-Jazeera TV produced a documentary about the Chamber and Ramadan’s activities.
Maria Lind, curator based in Stockholm has been working at Manifesta, The European Biennial for Contemporary Art; IASPIS in Stockholm and the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College in the State of New York.

Last minute changes in the programme were due unexpected personal resons.
