Between shyness and showing off
Workshop: Between shyness and showing off
Tuesday 27 September 2016, 3-5:30pm
HIAP Project Space
Are you a shy show off? Or would you just like to know more about the relationship between shyness and performance in art and everyday life? As co-researchers in a small group we will discuss some short written passages and share our own ideas on this concept introduced by the artist Joceline Howe. We will also do some practical exercises to explore shyness and try some minimal showing off in a supportive setting. No experience of performance is required, just an openness to learn more about the relationship between these two positions and yourself. This workshop is led by Marianne Mulvey, curator in residence at HIAP supported by Frame. Space is limited, so please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place and receive more information about the workshop.
