Helga Härenstam: The Society and The Looking Glass Photos
10.10.-2.11.2008

HELGA HÄRENSTAM (Gothenburg) shows two recent works: The Society and The Looking Glass Photos. In her work Härenstam often takes an interest in the relations between memory, photography and autobiography and how those subjects interfere with each other and their balance between fiction and reality. For her photography is a way of telling and constructing more or less autobiographical stories.

NINA TUITTU (Helsinki) is a photographic artist. She also teaches photography, with a focus on documentary photography. In her own work, Tuittu has contemplated on the relationship between time and poetry to photography, which is a common factor for the discussion with Helga Härenstam.
