Maija Hirvanen
Maija Hirvanen is a performer, dancer and writer. In addition to dance she applies and extends the idea of choreography in to the areas of new performance, writing and visual culture.

Being Greta 3 is a choreography script in which the performer’s body creates a playful live narrative. Being Greta 3creates moments when culturally recognizable movements become something else, a new story or a dance. The solo piece Being Greta premiered in 2007 at the Zodiak center for new dance, Helsinki. Being Greta 2, a mutation of this piece, was shown in Copenhagen in 2008 and will continue to be shown again later. Being Greta 3 is a mutation to be performed at Art Contact.

Aapo Kustaa Korkeaoja
Korkeaoja´s work contemporary art is overrated is an artist´s reflection on the art world’s alienation from the rest of culture. Contemporary art´s high culture status and self-supporting discourses are boring and useless- they don´t deserve to be respected. Artists and the art world in general have chosen a position on the outskirts of society and have to fight their way back in to dialogue with the real world.

Korkeaoja is a 30-year old, Helsinki-based artist, producer, curator and farmer who works in an interdisciplinary manner by getting his motivation from contemporary sociopolitical issues.

Mark Ward
Born in South Africa in 1970, the artist has lived and worked in Belfast, Northern Ireland since 1985 and now resides in Espoo Finland. Hypothesis 27 is part of an ongoing investigation into how culture might be kept at arm’s-length, wherein lies a simple gesture of performance.

roska999
roska999 is a hybrid developed from ros-ka confronting understanding of sound that it is not always music. The performance is a communication between visual elements and noise made by improvisation with pedals.
