Curator Marina Noronha joins HIAP

We are happy to announce that curator Marina Noronha has joined the HIAP staff!

As an independent curator, Marina has explored the relationships between permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, including display methods that experiment with exhibition props and environmental features, such as light, sound and plants. She has collaborated with institutions such as El Museo del Barrio, USA and Fundação Municipal de Cultura, Brazil to produce exhibitions, and has been the curator of exhibitions at institutions such as Delfina Foundation, UK, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Italy, Abrons Arts Center and Hessel Museum of Art, USA, and Konsthall C and Moderna Museet, Sweden.

Marina is currently preparing a PhD in Curatorial Theory at Aalto University, Finland. She holds a MA in Curatorial Studies from CCS Bard, USA, and a B.Sc. (Honours) in Architecture from UFMG, Brazil.

At HIAP, Marina will be supporting the work of the resident artists as well as developing communication tools and methods for HIAP.
