Polina Verbytska

Polina Verbytska is a graphic artist, sculptor and curator based in Kyiv. Her practice explores the subconscious, fragility of perception, and the tension between public and private worlds. Verbytska’s works often emerge from materials tied to memory and domestic rituals, transforming them into poetic reflections on intimacy and silence.

During the USRP residency, I plan to develop a series of graphic works alongside several small-scale sculptural pieces. The two-month period will allow me to focus on a consistent body of drawings while also experimenting with three-dimensional forms. In my sculptural work, I intend to incorporate found natural materials from the surrounding environment. This approach is central to my current practice, where I explore the interaction between the human body and external reality. I am interested in how a person attempts to integrate lived experience into their inner structure.
