During my residency I will be working on a large embroidered canvas “Dream Map”. In my artistic practice I combine acrylic painting and handmade embroidery as a meditative process on the canvas. I explore images of childhood memories, and visions created by my subconscious mind in my dreams.

I create highly detailed and tactile artworks using materials such as textiles, pieces of fabric from old clothes, sometimes parts of plastic bags, and hand embroidery. In these, the embroidered lines are reminiscent of graphics, and pieces of fabric of different textures create the effect of painting.
