Oleg Kotelnikov, born 1958, is a St. Petersburg artist, poet, musician, member of the New Wave and a pioneer of the New Artists group. In his works he continues the tradition of black humor in Russian art. Poet Oleg Grigorev's works have had a strong influence in Kotelnikov's paintings and later on in his experimental films and installations. During his residency at HIAP he works with a new exhibition concept for Cable Gallery.
