Safe Haven Helsinki

Safe Haven Helsinki arranges residencies for visual artists and music professionals, whose freedom of expression (and in extreme cases personal safety) is threatened in their home country. The residency offers the artists a short break from their difficult situation. The residency is meant for artists who aim to continue working in their home country (and thus are not seeking to relocate themselves as refugees). The duration of the residencies varies from three months to one year.

The Safe Haven Helsinki project is co-organised by Perpetuum Mobilε and HIAP with the support from the City of Helsinki. The project is curated by Perpetuum Mobilε.
