Local residency: Helsinki Metropolitan Region

Arts Council of Helsinki Metropolitan Region (Uudenmaan taidetoimikunta) and HIAP have joined forces for a residency project in HIAP Suomenlinna. The project is meant for artists living in Helsinki Metropolitan Region and offers a two months residency period in HIAP Suomenlinna Studios. The residency services and studio apartment on Suomenlinna Island are provided by HIAP and Arts Council of Helsinki Metropolitan Region supports artist with a grant.

HIAP and Arts Council of Helsinki Metropolitan Region are thus offering artists from Helsinki Metropolitan Region a possibility to work in a stimulating milieu in the middle of maritime Helsinki and a possibility to create contacts with various artists from all around the world having residencies in HIAP Suomenlinna Studios through out the year.

Application period for residencies taking place in 2013 is 2.11.–30.11.2012. Find more information on how to apply from here (in Finnish) .
